Learning Management System for Doctors

The Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) assesses the competence of practicing radiologists.  The evaluation cases consisted of films that needed to be printed out and archived.  The process was time consuming and didn’t reflect the visualization tools used in hospitals.  The CMQ was thus looking for a way to computerized its case management and case presentation process.

A Custom Dicom Viewer as an Evaluation Tool

Dicavi, short for Dicom Case Viewer, has been developed for the CMQ. Dicavi addresses the limitations of evaluation methods which are not compliant with the Dicom-standards. Dicavi allows evaluators to import Dicom images from any medium and enables them to create test-cases to be presented to candidates under evaluation.
